What is Padel?

Padel is a fast-growing racket sport played in doubles on an enclosed court. It’s easy to learn, social, and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Do I need experience to play?

Not at all. Padel is very beginner-friendly. Many of our players are completely new, and we offer coaching, social sessions, and beginner-friendly match play.

Do I need my own racket?

No. Rackets are available to hire at the club, and balls can be purchased on site. You’re also welcome to bring your own equipment.

How many players are needed?

Padel is usually played as doubles, so 4 players per court. Singles courts may be available at certain times.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable sports clothing and trainers with good grip. Padel-specific shoes are recommended, but not necessary

What do we offer?

Open matches and social session for all abilities;

  • Coaching and beginner programmes to lower the barrier to entry

  • Events that encourage connection, not just competition

  • Whether you come with friends or arrive solo, you'll always find a game – and a warm welcome from Grassroots Padel.
